Dorothy Wingo Borum

BORUM, Dorothy Wingo, age 88, of Rice, Va., died on Sunday, October 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. "Buster" Borum; and a daughter, Elizabeth Raye Englebright. She was born in Jetersville, Va., the daughter of the late George Holland Wingo and Mattie Carter Wingo on May 16, 1920. She is survived by her two sons, Robert M. Borum and wife, Frances, of Amelia, Va., and James F. Borum and wife, Elsie, of Rice, Va.; a daughter, Donna L. Thackston and husband, Marshall, of Darlington Heights, Va.; her four grandchildren, Gregg Borum, Brett Borum and wife, Dana, George Borum and wife, Karen, Sherry Midkiff and husband, Scott; her great-grandchild, Christin Pearl Midkiff; a son-in-law, Ed Englebright; and her three stepgrandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia. Remembrances may be made to the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O.
