Randy Lee Borum, 68, passed away on July 12, 2025. Born on September 6, 1956, to Chester & Ava (Hysong) Borum. Randy was raised in Frankton, where his family had deep roots, and it's here that he chose to build his own family and started a business.
Randy married Robin (Knight) on January 22nd, 1983. He was a loving husband and father, and together they raised three beautiful daughters that grew to be amazing women. (He was such a girl dad.) These girls brought two exceptional Sons-In-Law to his family, and he loved them as his own. 4 cherished grandchildren grew his family and his heart. He loved being BaBaw/Pappy and was happiest spending time with family.
Life was a beautiful adventure for Randy. He loved camping and hiking, sand between his toes at the beach, and a good classic rock album. He could often be found relaxing in his backyard or watching M.A.S.H. reruns with his family and beloved fur baby, Merlin.
Randy's faith was strong. He was a member of the Frankton Christian Church.
Randy took great pride as the Owner/Operator of Borum Trucking from 1977 to 1998. He joined IMI in 1998 serving in plant operations in Anderson, Indiana until his retirement in 2019.
Randy is survived by his wife Robin; his daughters, Shawna (Mark) Carper, Sydney Borum, and Shelby (Ryan) Sutton; his grandchildren, Jade (Sean) Carroll, Brandon Carper, Dylan Carper, and Leo Sutton; his sisters, June (Marion) Hight and Judy (Dave) Norris; his sisters-in-law; Phyllis Craig, Anna Borum, Penny Borum, Ronda Terry, Pam Owens; and his best friends, Darrell and Tammy Shepherd, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ava Borum; his brothers, Paul, Samuel, and James Borum; his in-laws, Larry and Betty Knight, his angel babies, and fur baby Crystal.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 3:00pm to 7:00 pm at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, located at 305 East Sigler Street, Frankton, Indiana, 46044.
