Nancy Jo McClain, born on February 1, 1943, in Elwood, Indiana, left us to join her Heavenly Father on August 5, 2025. Nancy, a creative soul, was known for transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences through her career as an interior decorator. She retired as a senior manager from Home Interiors and Gifts, having earned multiple awards for her outstanding salesmanship and regional management. Always thoughtful and inspiring, Nancy applied her love for decorating not only in her career but also in her service to the church, where she often helped decorate for holidays and special occasions. While living her entire life in the Frankton area, Nancy was a pillar of the community, known for her loving nature and captivating spirit. She was an avid Cubs Baseball fan, even dedicating a room to display her Cubs paraphernalia. Nancy not only loved her Cubs baseball, she loved watching all sports. In her free time, she found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, reading, and working on puzzles with her beloved husband, Jack, whom she married on October 13, 1962. Together they enjoyed riding their motorcycle and traveling, building a lifetime of memories together. Nancy was an inspiring woman who lived her life fully, celebrated every moment, led and developed others through her servant leadership, and loved others unconditionally. She was passionate about her family and church, which were the cornerstones of her life. Nancy is survived by her husband Jack McClain; sons, Brent (Katrina) McClain and Kevin (Becky) McClain; grandson, Luke (Sadie) McClain; granddaughters, Lauren McClain, Amelia (Michael) Spivey, Madison McClain, and Alana McClain; great-granddaughter Bonnie McClain and great-grandson Carter Spivey and another one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Freda Parker, and her brothers, Bob (Lillian) Hughes and George Parker. Nancy's life and legacy will continue to be celebrated by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, 305 East Sigler Street, Frankton, Indiana, 46044. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the same venue with Pastor Roger Brooks officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to either Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Nancy. We encourage those who knew Nancy to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Her life was a testament to the power of love, creativity, and faith, and we invite you all to celebrate the beautiful journey of Nancy McClain.
