WEAVER, Virginia Wassum, 86, of Richmond, died October 7, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Weaver; and her siblings. She is survived by her sons, Randy Linkous of Richmond, Brian Weaver and his wife, Judith, of Richmond; and one daughter, Ann Flaim of Pa.; six grandchildren, Paula Altman and her husband, Sander, Goldie Weaver and her husband, Mike McCray, B. Paul Weaver Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Marshall Weaver, Melissa Flaim and her husband, Jeff Fischer, Melinda Flaim; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Don Dadigan of California; several nieces and nephews, including Gerry Lythgoe and her husband, Hank, and Garland Mattox and his wife, Linda, both of Richmond. Virginia was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a past member of the ACCA Temple Chantettes. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1101 Horsepen Road, Richmond, Va. 23229.
