Henderson: Peggy Jean Marsh Weaver passed away Saturday morning August 9 at Henderson Health and Rehab.
She was born April 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Burl Odell (Dell) and Sudie Lavelle Gilland Marsh. She grew up in the Montezuma Community of Chester County, attended Montezuma Elementary and Chester County High School and lived at Montezuma until the age of twenty-one. She married Charles Spencer Weaver in October 1949. They moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1951. While living in Detroit she worked for a drug store and managed apartment buildings. They moved to Taylor, Michigan in September of 1965, while living there she worked for a department store. They moved back to Montezuma in June 1975. Mr. Weaver preceded in death in 2000.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in January 1954 and joined Temple Baptist Church in Detroit. She was currently a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by brothers; Ercel, James, and J. D. Marsh and sister Dorothy Kilby.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery with Brother Anthony Rowland officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 10:30 am Tuesday.
