PUCKETT, Marvin Douglas, of the Masonic Home of Virginia, born January 3, 1920 in Ellenwood, Ga., passed away Friday, October 3, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Annette Layne Puckett. He is survived by his sisters, Florence Huffman of Newborn, Ga., and Louise Jacobs of Molena, Ga.; also many nieces and nephews in Georgia. After the death of his wife and prior to his moving to the Masonic Home, he made his home with his niece, Doris J. Kelley in Mechanicsville. Mr. Puckett retired from William Byrd Press, Inc. in 1982, was a longtime member of Stukeley Hall Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Post No. 38 and a 60-year plus member of Richmond Randolph Lodge No. 19, AF&AM, who will hold Masonic Memorial Services 7 p.m. Sunday, October 12, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 12, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 13, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
