SLAUGHTER, Deloris Lane, 69, of Colonial Heights, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. She was the daughter of the late Howard B. and Edith Seal Lane. Mrs. Slaughter retired from Titmus Optical after many years of service as a lens presser. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William G. Slaughter; an aunt, Gladys S. Traylor; her three angels, Randy and Carolyn Slaughter, and Debbie Hinton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon, Va., with the Reverend Ivan B. Perkinson officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the grave. The family will receive friends at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Friday, November 7, 2008 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
