Your mom and dad will be missed. Even after my mom had moved to PA both your mom and dad remained true friends and communicated often. The fish frys, basement parities, fresh vegtables, birthday lunches and friends that have always been there... are things that I hear my mom say as she deals with the sorrow of having lost both of her best friends. My prayers are with Allen's family at this time. I knew allen from the FOP and the RRPOA. Allen was a good person. I just spoke with him two weeks ago when he called to wish me a happy birthday. He always called membes on their birthdays.

To Allen's family ~
I just want to apologize for spelling Allen's name as Alan. I think I reverted to Alan after seeing Al, but that's no excuse. My message was correct otherwise!
Sincerely,
Jim Rose

To Allens Family,
I met Allen many years ago in my work as a retail store manager. I not only enjoyed talking and working with him, but also learned quite a lot from him. While I had not seen him in many years, he still crossed my mind on quite a few occassions. He will be greatly missed by not only those who knew him, but by the community as a whole!

Allen and I go back many years, and I will always remember him, and will miss his call on my birthday, as he has alway done for many years..
I am sorry that I can not be there in Richmond, with his family and friends, but I am at home with my wife who has just come home from back surgery and needs my loving care.
God has one more good policeman to walk the beat.

I am glad I was able to see and visit with Al on my last visit to the FOP lodge this past year. He was a great ambassador for the FOP and RRPOA. He was always having a kind word and thought for others as evidenced by his famous birthday calls. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Crystal,
I don't even have the words to express my sorrow for you and your family. Your Mom and Dad were both such special people and a joy to be around. We can take comfort in knowing that they are in a much better place and they are together again.
With Love,

Al...a friend, a brother that will be truly missed by all of us at the Manchester Moose Lodge. We enjoyed his humor and talent as he played with the Manchester Strings. He and Gloria are together once again...Al missed her so.

I can only echo the comments of so many retired police officers who knew Allen. He was a true friend and gentleman, and will be missed by so many people. May his family be in all our prayers.

Crystal,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your father. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to lose your mother and now your father. I enjoyed them both so much. I always counted on seeing them at Moose functions. May your memories help you through this difficult time.

To Alan's family ~ He's gone to be with his beloved Gloria and watch over all of us from above. Alan and Gloria were such a wonderful couple and we enjoyed seeing them at events at the Moose Lodge. Especially appreciated by me was Alan's wonderful gardens (veggies & flowers). The irises I got from Alan hadn't bloomed at all (for 3-4 years!) until this summer...I told him they bloomed for Gloria...now I know they bloomed for Alan too! May all of your many memories enfold and comfort each of you in God's love.
Sincerely,
J. Richard Seeds, Sr., Richmond and

Al was a great friend. He could always be counted on to give you a call on your birthday and give you a call when a fellow police officer died. We will all miss his smile and handshake when we met. He will truly be missed.

Occasionally in life we are given special treasures, and I consider Al as one of mine. I knew on my birthday, he would be the first person to telephone in the morning. It was an honor to have known him through the years.
