Mr. Harris and Otis Jr.
Mrs. Harris will always be remembered as my favorite elementary teacher. In 6th grade on our field trip she directed us in song at the radio City music Hall. Awesome!!! I will never forget her and how sweet she always was to me. May GOD Bless her and you all.
Take care

I give praise to God for having sent Carolyn to be one of the women on my journey. Because of her talents, grace, kindness, sweet spirit, leadership, love, encouragement, confidence, sacrifice and much more, I have been made a better person. Her presence, actions and conversations touched me in countless ways as we worked together as coworkers, great friends, Otis Jr. fourth grade teacher and supporter. My prayers are with you both, Otis and John as well as with the extened family. During this time of breavement, let your prayers and faith be your tools. Allow Good to take the lead in your healing. Your great loss is mine also.

Otis,Sr and Otis,Jr.,
My prayers are ever with you. Carolyn was a great person and dear co-worker. She exhibited the qualities of a phenomenal lady,a true friend. We always had good times when the former staff members of Glenarden would get together and remember our days of teaching at Glenarden Elementary. Her soul will rest in peace in God's best garden of roses. Blessings to you.

Wow. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Otis and Mr. Harris. Mrs. Harris was not only the best music teacher in the world but she also taught us respect and high moral standards. We felt we could talk to her about anything. She will be missed. I know all of my fellow classmates from Glenarden Woods Elementary feel the loss.

I have never known someone so caring and so even tempered when it came to members of the Senior Choir at Shiloh. I am a better person for having had her as a friend and e-mail partner. I will miss her and say to you, Mr. Harris and Otis, God will watch over you and help you through these long days. Bless you always.

To Mr. Harris, Sr. and Otis, Jr.:

My prayers and condolences, as well as my parents, are with you at this time. I will always cherish the wonderful memories of Mrs. Harris; talking after church, Sunday dinners at the house and various restaurants, telephone conversations, gift exchanges, and special dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She will be missed, but never forgotten. Heaven received a " Very Special Angel" on a very special holiday!

As one Mrs. Harris' former students at Glenarden Woods Elementary School, I would like to express my hearfelt sorrow at the news of her passing. We have assurance, however, because she is with the Lord.
I am sure many Glendarden students have fond memories of Mrs. Harris because she set such high standards for us and would not settle for anything less; it was as if she saw in us what we had yet to see in ourselves. We are all better for having known her.

Carolyn Harris was one of the most gentle, caring and loving people I have ever met. Her smiling face as she greeted all of us in the choir or as she sat in the balcony and waved will be missed. May pleasant memories of your wife and mother bring a smile and may God watch over and protect each of you. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Peace and blessings,

My condolences to the Harris Family,

As a former choir member at Pocahontas High School, for four years, I experienced the wonderful person and instructor that she was. Under her unrelenting determination for us to always be better, she made us into one of the best choirs in Virginia. I loved and appreciated her very much.

This is very difficult, Mrs. Harris was a wonderful person with the gift of understanding and a warm heart. She always make sure that Mike and I had dinner on Sundays after church.
We would come to Maryland for the weekend, stay at Otis house but dinner was always at Mr. and Mrs. Harris table on Sunday.

Thank you for being my other mother and friend Ms. Harris

Harris Family,

My heart goes out to you at this time of your loss. Ms. Harris was the best music teacher in the world. I remember being a student at Glenarden Woods Elem. and being in the chorus. She desired perfection in our singing and because of that we were often invited to other schools to perform. She taught us that there was more to music than instruments and singing. Hold on to the great memories of this wonderful lady, teacher, mother and wife. We will all miss her dearly.
