Eilene Caldwell Harris, 87, of Clarksburg, Erie Community, passed away Monday morning, September 22, 2025, in the Bridgeport Health Care Center. She was born in Spelter on April 7, 1938, a daughter of the late Julius L. and Elenora V. (Fleming) Caldwell.

On August 23, 1958, she married Russell "Bub" Harris, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Toth and her husband Chris, Shinnston; two grandchildren, Allison Handschumacher and her husband Jon of Shinnston; Adam Toth and his wife Andrea of Lumberport; 3 great-grandchildren, Landry, Paisley and Ellie Handschumacher. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, David Stull of Grantsville; her sister-in-law Jennifer Wright and her husband Ron, Corbin Branch; brother-in-law, Randy Harris and his wife Beth, Adamsville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Ann Plum; Frances Haddox and her husband Robert; Dora Mae Stull; Carolyn Holbert and her husband Jim; and her brothers, Johnny Lynn Caldwell and Robert Caldwell and his wife Catherine; and her brother-in-law, Claude Harris and his wife Loretta.

Eilene had worked as a housekeeper at Clarksburg Continuous Care for several years, and had attended Oak Mound Evangelical Church. She and Bub also enjoyed traveling and visiting family. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and adoring grandmother.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Robert Shingleton presiding.
