Michael "Mike" Farrell, 64, of Bridgeport, West Virginia, passed away peacefully in Morgantown on August 23, 2025, just one day before his 65th birthday. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on August 24, 1960, Michael lived a life full of passion, freedom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A devoted NASCAR fan, Michael found joy in cheering on his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He had a lifelong love for motorcycles and the great outdoors, especially the simple pleasures of being outside with his dog, Mia.

Above all, Michael carried a quiet but enduring love for his family. He was a father to Nicole Cline (husband Micheal) and Lisa Farrell (partner Brian Bennett), and a grandfather to Camden, JayLynn, and Kaleb. Though life's paths sometimes led in different directions, his daughters and grandchildren were always close to his heart. He took pride in who they were becoming and held onto the love they shared in his own way.

One of the memories that best captures Michael's spirit was swimming with his daughters at Belton Lake, the sun warm on his face and the best of his soul reflected in his eyes. In those moments, surrounded by laughter and water, he was at peace-present, joyful, and deeply connected to the ones he loved.

Michael is also survived by his mother, Mary Snyder of Bridgeport, WV; his brothers Doug Farrell (Ruth) of Weston, WV, and Kenny Farrell; and his nephews Michael Farrell and RD Farrell, to whom he was a proud and caring uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Farrell Jr., his brother, David Farrell, his stepfather Vance Snyder, and his grandparents, George and Sylvia Clark. His bond with his family was deep and enduring-he carried their stories, their laughter, and their love with him every day.

"Go rest high on that mountain,

Son, your work on earth is done.

Go to heaven a-shoutin',

Love for the Father and the Son."

- Vince Gill, "Go Rest High on That Mountain"

With love from the family:

We will remember Michael for his quiet strength, his love of the open road, and the moments-big and small-that made him uniquely ours. Though he's no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the stories we share, the laughter we carry, and the love that will never fade. We are grateful for the support, kindness, and prayers from all who have reached out during this time.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Michael's life and legacy.
