Glenn McWhorter Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Jan. 25, 2009.
McWHORTER, Glenn W., 76, of Louisa, Va., died November 20, 2008. Born in Louisville, Ky., he is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; brother, John; and four nephews. Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky, Glenn worked for American Oil and Modern American before leaving corporate America to do what he loved, designing and building houses in Blue Ridge Shores in Louisa, and restoring antique cars and boats. Glenn and Mary Jane built their home on the lakefront, spending the best years of their lives there. A wonderful husband and friend, Glenn will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched.

Mary Jane, I shall always remember your husband, Glenn, and his kindness to my husband, Lawrence, whenever he came over to fix a clock. Will always remember the smoked turkey dinner we shared with you both at your home in Louisa. He was a good, kind man and will surely be missed.

Mary Jane and Family,

I hope Glenn gets to build some more clocks with my Grandfather Tom in Heaven. He was a great man and I always think of him everytime I go for Mexican Food in Miami Fla. I loved what he could do with his hands. Leanna and I are truly sorry for your loss.
