Matthew Harlan Fields was born May 31, 1988, and passed away after a long illness on September 20, 2025, at his home in Frankfort, Kentucky. Matthew was 37 years old.

He is survived by his parents Danny and Darlene Fields of Annville. He was also survived by one brother Travis Fields of Berea, whom he loved with all of his heart. He is survived by his grandmother Bonnie Fields of Annville, his aunt Gail (Clifford) Lewis of Mount Vernon, his aunt Allene Corneilus of Mount Vernon and his uncle Danny Durham of Richmond. He leaves behind his cousins, Amber Lewis, Jeffery Lewis, Jama (Brian) Vogt, Justin (Melissa) Corneilus, Christopher Durham, Rainey Tracey and Jessica Cocanougher.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents Oliver and Dorothy Durham of Sand Gap and Daniel Fields of Annville. He was also preceded in death by his uncle Donald Durham of Nicholasville.

Matthew was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master's Degree in Chemistry. He then went on to work as the WLA coordinator in the Cabinet for Water Infrastructure of the State of Kentucky. He loved his job and his many dear friends at work who all loved him.

Funeral Services for Matthew will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fields-Moore Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 1 P.M. at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers include Johnny Sizemore, Danny Durham, Justin Cornelius, Sam Cornelius, Bryan Vogt and Jeffery Lewis.
