Vonda Sue Clay

March 10th 1950-September 23rd 2025

Vonda Sue Clay passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Annville, on Tuesday evening September 23rd 2025 at 75 years of age.

Vonda was born on March 10th 1950 to Julius Belt and Goldie (Robinson) Belt in Manchester, Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Raymond (Peanut) Clay for 41 wonderful years on November 27th 1979. Vonda was a beloved member of Mt. Olivet Church where she loved and served faithfully. Vacation bible school was a time of year she enjoyed most. Seeing children grow in Christ and enjoy in arts & crafts brought her joy beyond explanation.

Vonda was survived by the following siblings: Judy Murray, Jean (Gary) Asher, Ruby Grubb, Andy (Alice) Belt, all of Tyner, KY. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews: Robbin (Billy) Robinson, Dewey (Lori) Grubb, Kristina (Jay) Hicks, Michael Grubb, Brian (Kristin) Grubb, Allison (Brian) Murray, Kimberly (Chris) Small, Brian Hacker, Jennifer Gibson, Sharon Statt (Mike), Ritchie (Cheryl) Pope, Todd Belt, Dakota Lawson, Kimberly Lewis, Julius-Jamie Belt. Two special Great nieces Autumn & Summer Parker.

Vonda was preceded in death by her husband Raymond (Peanut) Clay, her parent Julius & Goldie (Robinson) Belt and the following siblings: Julius Belt Jr., Bessie Rose Byrd and Hugh Belt, and the following nieces and nephews: Greg Pope, Jeffrey Hacker, Tammy Sue Grubb and Gregory Pope (great nephew) and Alyssia Hacker Mills (great niece).

Vonda's leaves behind a legacy of loving the Lord, her family, friends and spreading joy everywhere she went. Her special interests included many things as she was an exciting and eccentric person. Thrifting and yard selling was among one of her most favorite, she was an avid shopper. Her husband Peanut was always in tow gladly toting her treasures! They were two peas in and pod and we know they are rejoicing together now! Crafting, coloring, and arts of all sorts were what filled her time at home. She passed that love down to her family; every Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter was jammed packed with making ornaments, popcorn strings for trees, painting Easter eggs and blowing bubbles with all the little kids in our family. She was a light to each of us and her light will shine ALWAYS!

A special thank you to Ronnie & Glenna Robinson for their love and care to Vonda, as well as being wonderful family and neighbors to her.

Pallbearer's: Dewey Wayne Grubb, Brian Murray, Billy Robinson, Donavon Grubb, Robbie Belt, Ryan Gibson, Todd Belt, Brad Bridges and Mike Statt.

Honorary Pallbearer's: Andy Belt, Gary Asher, Brian Hacker, and Ronnie Robinson.

Officiating the service: Bernard Ward, Cheyenne Metcalf and Brian Murray.
