McCOMBS, Mr. Harrison David, of Richmond, departed this life February 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jetney and Bertha McCombs; and two brothers, Frank and Clayton McCombs. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Pearly P. McCombs; one son, Milton Hunter (Adrian); one sister, Alda A. Dawson of Florida; one brother, Willie J. McCombs (Mildred) of North Carolina; 12 godchildren, among them five devoted, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Orlando Purcell, Fredericka Thomas and Sherrill Jackson; four devoted aunts, Lois Works, Helen Gallmon, Ruth Walker and Shirley Sherrill; 19 nieces and nephews, three devoted, Sherlock McCombs, Curtis Bernard and Wendell Dawson; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends, among them two special friends, Roosevelt Chestnut and Stanley Craddock. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. Elder Evelyn Thomas officiating. Entombment Signal Hill Mausoleum, Hanover County, Va.
