Doris Pierce Hanson

HANSON, Doris Pierce, 85, of Richmond, passed away February 6, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin G. Hanson Sr.; and a daughter, Diane H. Rudd. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin G. Hanson Jr., and his wife, Linda, and Stephen A. Hanson; two daughters, Christina H. Beckstoffer and Carolyn P. Hanson, and her husband, Thomas Simon; two brothers, Elmer R. Deffenbaugh, and his wife, Mary Jane, and Bruce W. Deffenbaugh; seven grandchildren, Sharry H. Chenault, Kimberly A. Hanson, James W. Rudd, Christina B. Arrington, Honey P. Beckstoffer, Calista G. Simon, and Nolan P. Simon; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon, Tuesday February 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Westhampton Memorial Park. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229. Arrangements by Bliley's - Central.
