Norman (Norm) J. Hanson, 74, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Norm was a graduate of General McLane High School and Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. He graduated with a degree in Social Services, which he utilized for several years working at the Dr. Gertrude Barber Center in Erie, PA. He eventually returned to work for the majority of his vocational years for his Dad, Leroy Hanson, as lead mechanic at Lakeside Service Center. He continued on as a mechanic when the dealership became Cunningham Chrysler of Edinboro.
Norm enjoyed nature, hiking in the woods, kayaking, skiing and boating, and helping others. He was also known for his love of music and had a notable enjoyment for various types of music.
He is survived by his sisters, Laura Keuter of Idaho and Susan (Paul) Brantingham of Kentucky, as well as 7 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews.
His kind and gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held there Saturday at 11 a.m.
