LYNCH, Henry J. Sr., 80, of Emporia, widower of Mildred L. Lynch, died Saturday, February 14, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Helen Lynch; daughter, Mabel Breedlove and husband, Tom of Winchester; two sons, Henry J. Lynch Jr. of South Boston and William M. Lynch and wife, Priscilla of Emporia; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Tomlinson of Emporia; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companions, Wrinkles and Fuzzy. One sister, Pearl Tomlinson, preceded Mr. Lynch in death. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Emporia where the family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Word of Life Assembly of God Church. Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
