Larry, I'll aways remember you coming up on Christmas Eve and talking with us and all the other memories neighbors have. Sorry I could not make it to your memorial but my thoughts were right there with you and your family. Go with God.

Dear Alex,
While I will forever miss your smiling face and every kindness extended to me over the years, I rejoice in knowing that you are "dancing now in heaven" instead of dancing with me. I know from the testimony you shared with me many times, that you are safely in God's care, fully restored with no illness or injury to limit you now.
There are only two words to describe you, my friend. These words were used over one hundred years ago to describe another southern gentleman from a fine Virginia family - Gen. Robert E. Lee. The words were "simplistic" and "spiritual". They fit him well then, as they fit you also - a gracious southern gentleman from a fine Surry County, Virginia family.
God bless you and your family always.
See you in heaven and we will dance together again.
