Dorothy Boswell Obituary

BOSWELL, Dorothy C., 86, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Walter H. Boswell; son, Walter H. Boswell Jr. and wife, Kathy; and grandson, Justin C. Boswell, all of Mechanicsville; numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a retiree of Philip Morris. She was a lifelong member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her family, and she loved to dance and shop. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, where services will be held 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Ave., Richmond.

Mom:

Walter and Family,

Dorothy was very special to me and I will miss her very much. I can remember all of the good times we have had over the years and she always made me laugh. May God comfort you during this time of great loss. My prayers go out to all of you.

Walter, God will bless you for all of the love and care you gave Dorothy as well as Uncle Howard, Gertie and Bootsie.
