Vernon D. Boswell

1948 – 2025

Vernon Duane Boswell, 77, of Cameron, passed away September 17, 2025 at his home. He was born January 17, 1948 to Charles M. and Berniece (Baker) Boswell in Kansas City, Missouri.

Vern served in the Vietnam War as sergeant in the United States Air Force. He received his bachelor's degree from Missouri Western State University and certification in radiology and nuclear medicine from Research Medical Center. Vern was the diagnostic imaging manager for Cameron Regional Medical Center for over 30 years.

Vern was a member of the St. Munchin Catholic Church in Cameron, the Knights of Columbus Council 1011 and the American Legion Elmer Ellis Post 33.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Berniece; sister Galalia Dicken.

Vern is survived by his wife Mary of the home; 4 sons, Michael (Betsy) Boswell, Gladstone, MO, Aaron (Aly) Boswell, O'Fallon, MO, Ryan (Clare) Boswell, College Park, MD, Jacob (Tori) Boswell, Cameron, MO; 9 grandchildren, Owen, Noah, Kellan, Lane, Macoy, Silas, Ada, Oliver, Ila.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron, MO. Visitation 10:00-11:00 prior to the service. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM. Inurnment with military honors at St. Muchin Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO.
