David James Clevenger, 65, of Cameron passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his home in Cameron. He was born April 19, 1960 to Vincil and Edith (Benson) Clevenger in Cameron.
David was a 1978 graduate of Cameron High School. He was employed by Red X Motors for many years and later Randy and Max Curnow, totaling 42 years, detailing cars, parts runner and maintenance. David enjoyed fishing, camping, poker, watching the Chiefs and Royals. He was talented as a fixer of anything, especially bicycles and cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Velma and sister Rose Hopskin-Clevenger.
David is survived by daughters, Holly Clevenger (Todd Harman) Cameron, MO, Kayla Stuck, Springfield, MO; grandchildren Conner Arnold; brothers, George Clevenger, Cameron, MO, John (Debbie) Clevenger, Trimble, MO; sisters Joyce Leonardo, Kidder, MO, Ann (Mark) Hirsch, Greenwood, MO, Louise Clevenger Weidmaier (Chris McQuinn), Cameron, MO, Martha (Danny) Danner, Weatherby, MO; nieces and nephews.
At David's request, there will be no services. Inurnment, Wamsley Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO.
