HICKS, Franklin Lee, 72, departed this life on Thursday, August 20, 2009. He is survived by his brothers, Thomas M. Hicks and Charles E. Hicks; and his wife, Lucille S. Hicks; his sister, Sarah H. Collier and her husband, Richard E. Collier; nine nieces and nephews, and 25 great- nieces and nephews. There will be a remembrance and luncheon for family and friends at the Collier home on Sunday, August 30, 2009, from 1 to 4 p.m. Interment will be private at The Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia. Memorial contributions may be made to Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center, Attention: Tracy Morrison, 1601 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, Va. 23224.
