Lovene Getts Obituary

GETTS, Lovene M., 89, of Henrico, passed away September 5, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Elbridge Murray, and husbands, Cecil Metts and Robert Getts. She is survived by a son, Jerry Hampton Metts; grandson, Brandon Metts; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Getts was born in Washington, D.C. and lived there until 1996 , when she moved to Richmond, Va. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cedarfield and the Hospice of Central Virginia at Retreat Hospital for their devoted care of Mrs. Getts. Remains are being handled by the Cremation and Burial Society. A memorial service will be held at the chapel at the Cedarfield, 2300 Cedarfield Pkwy., Henrico, Va., at a date to be determined.

Jerry, I am so sorry to hear about Lovene. I had lost touch with her, but will never forget how special she was. She will be missed.
