SCHULTZ, Anna M. "Peggy," 85, of Newport News, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Schultz; a son, David L. Schultz; and two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by three children: a daughter, Martha S. Bock of Richmond, Va., and two sons, Norman E. Schultz Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Pocomoke City, Md. and Allen W. Schultz and his wife, Sarah, of Newport News, Va.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was born in Tamaqua, Pa. and was raised in Charles City, Va. She was a longtime resident of Richmond, Va., where she was active in St. Martin's Church, serving as chairwoman of numerous bazaars. She moved to Newport News following the death of her husband of 54 years. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Richmond, Va., followed by interment at Westhampton Memorial Park in Richmond, Va. Arrangements by the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
