Dana Quicke WADE

WADE, Dana Quicke, 87, of Hopewell, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Wade was a life-long resident of Hopewell, a member of First Christian Church and the Class of 1939-40. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillie Hewitt Quicke; her husband, James Herbert Wade; and a sister, Mary Joan Dennis. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Dianne Wade of Chester; a son, Garry W. Wade of Hopewell; four grandchildren, Derek A. Wade, Sean M. Wade, Corey W. Bishop, and Coleman D. Bishop; one great-grandchild, Amber Wade; two brothers, Charles "Marvin" Quicke of Clarkesville, and Donald T. Quicke of Chester; nephew Don Allen Quicke; and nieces, Carolyn Jones, Janice Moore and Joy Denise Hardage. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 30, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 1 p.m. in Appomattox Cemetery with Bob Lane, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.
