Mark Hopkins Obituary
was taken from us suddenly on the evening of August 2, 2010. Mark was born March 6, 1956, at the Stanford hospital in Palo Alto, California. In 1992, he and his family relocated to Phoenix, where Mark was active in his community, and coached neighborhood football, basketball, and baseball teams year-round. Mark was a lover of sports, movies, and words; known for putting those around him at ease with his incredible sense of humor and natural way with words. He will be dearly missed by his sons, Mark Jr. and Matthew, as well as by so many others who were lucky enough to meet him and to have heard his jokes. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Mark's honor to the Donor Network of Arizona. Services will be held at the Brophy chapel on Wednesday, August 11, at 6:30 p.m.

matthew and andrew, i just heard about your dad. i'm so sorry for your loss. i have known mark since high school. i was his 1st girlfriend . mark was a kind, fun & loving man and a devoted father. i can't imagine a world without him in it. he is loved and will be missed.

Andrew and Matthew, I knew your Dad for only 5 months but he left a lasting impression on me. He was a gem of person with a magnanimous heart who was always giving, caring. I hope and pray his soul rests in peace and may his life be a guiding light in your life. I am sure he will be always with you when you need him.

Mark had a unique sense of humor that could make anyone happy. He was always a pleasure to have in Website Support as a back up rep and he did the job well. He will surely be missed but never forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I met Mark at work; every time we had the chance to talk I always took something positive away from his stories or his jokes. Mark will truly be missed and we are all better people for knowing him. Thoughts and prayers go out to Mark and his family.

I worked with Mark and had the pleasure of hearing his endless jokes and continuous laughter and boisterous sneezes throughout our office. He was definitely one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to Mark's family. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face. He was not afraid to stand up for what was right and he loved you kids so much. He was so proud of you guys and so excited to play with you. Carry his spirit in your hearts.

Mark was absolutely a pleasure to work with, very kind and thoughtful and ALWAYS had something positive or encouraging to say to me. I was surprised and saddened to learn of his passing. He was a good man.

Mark positively touched all those that knew him with his warm smile, laughter, and his ability to make a persons day better just by saying "Hi" to them. His memory will live on in all those that had the benefit of knowing him. He will be missed.
