Esther Baker Obituary

BAKER, Esther S. (Swift) 91 of Osterville, formerly of Milton, died on October 19, 2008 at Norwell Knoll Nursing & Rehabilitation. Wife of the late Newton S. Baker Sr. She leaves 2 sons, Newton S., and Elaine M. Baker, of Blythewood, SC and David R., and Sandra B. Baker, of Marshfield, MA. He also leaves six grandchildren, Christopher Baker, Nicole Baker-Kayton, Stephen Baker, Jared Baker Hilary Baker-Catala, and Alexis Baker, along with 5 great grandchildren, Domenic, Nicholas, Samuel, Olivia, and Drew. Esther was born in Milton, Ma. and a graduate of Milton High School. While in Milton she was a member of the Milton Hoosic Club and the Neighborhood Club of Quincy. Moving to Cape Cod in 1968, Esther loved to play golf, she was a member of the Oyster Harbors Club and Wianno Club. Esther was a long time volunteer at Milton Hospital for many years. A memorial service will be held on Friday Oct. 24, 2008 at 11 AM in St. Peters Episcopal Church, Wianno Ave, Osterville. Memorials in her name may be made to St Peters Episcopal Church, Wianno Ave, Osterville, MA 02655.
