Not sure what to say?

Dear Suzanne, I don't know why but I just ten min. ago decided to google "Judge Charles Travis". I am so sad to hear about his early death. I know "Charlie" from a very young boy on the farm in Lakehurst, NJ. My Parents worked for the Travistsky's in 1948. I remember Charlie in his first pickup truck a bright blue with police like lights all over it with antennas. I rem. when he crashed and rolled it. He was a hard working young man on the farm and had to learn to be very independent. He loved my Parents Mendel & Yetta Dodyk. Sorry for your loss.

Sue, I feel so horrible, just got your card and learned that Judge had passed. He was a great man and always so kind to me. I will never forget the day he was serving as an arbitrator and I was able to give him the good new about the Judgeship. We go way back and Dennis and I miss him. Thoughts and prayers are all yours this Christmas Season. Love, Bridget and Dennis

To Sue, Paul, Cherie, Linda, and all of their families, and Chuck's extended family,my deepest condolences. The world has lost a great man and you have lost a dear husband, father, mentor and friend.
Chuck was my friend of 30 years and, in many ways, some of the good things that I am, I owe to him. He will be deeply missed, but not forgotten.

My prayers go out to the Travis family. It was a pleasure working with him when he was a judge at Rolling Meadows - a really nice guy. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the illness that took him away so young.

Sue and Family,
Very sorry to hear about Chuck. We were really praying that he'd pull through. I enjoyed talking aviation with him and I'm sorry we never got to fly together.

I am sure I am speaking for all of us in our choir practice(poker group). We all looked forward to hear his stories while a judge and also stories while a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Though we always met on the last Wednesday of the month, we all felt we knew Charlie very well. He went through a tough episode of a lymphoma which was cured than the pancreatic situation. Many of us attended his wedding with Sue and remember how great he looked and what a good dancer he was. He very bravely went through very tough times over the last year until his death. We will miss a very good friend.

I'm very sad to write this right now. But Chuck lived well, and served his country and his community to the best ability a man could possibly do. He is missed as a mentor, a law partner, but mostly a good friend. God bless you Chuck.

Sue and Family, Skip and I are so sorry for your loss and hope your healing rest on the fact that Chuck's pain and suffering is over. He was one of the most interesting men I have ever met and really enjoyed our time together listening to Chuck and Skip talking about planes and war on our porch on Mackinac Island. May peace be with you all. Mary and Skip Warp

Dear Sue and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Chuck was a increditable man. His trips for the Wing of Hope and how scared I was for him on his last trip. We enjoyed his stories. How lucky you are to have been part of some of his trips.
Chuck would do almost anything for his freinds except lose in cards. That part everyone will miss.
We have many memories and we will cherish them forever.
Your Friend,
Ron & Norvette
