I am so sorry to just be reading about Debbie's passing. I worked for her at Sears in Chicago back in the 80s. She was such a good buddy! Took me to Cubs games, went out for cocktails, had me over to her beautiful home(s) and treated my like gold. I am so sorry I did not know until now. I had been thinking about her as I realized I hadn't gotten her annual holiday letter and kept meaning to contact her. I had some devastating family health issues over the last year, and kept putting it off. I searched for her online to make sure I had the most current info for her and this was the first thing that came up. Please accept my very late but truly sincere condolences. She was an absolute doll and it was an honor to have known her and been able to call her a friend!

I met Debbie through my sister Flora. We all went to Ball State although I was in graduate school while they were undergrads. We all lived together during one summer school. Debbie was such a loving, caring friend. My husband and I were able to spend this past March visiting with Debbie while we spent the winter in Naples. Throughout these last days she was always so positive and never complaining. We had a St. Patrick's Day party at her house with some of her Florida friends. Debbie, the true Irishman, just glowed and enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage she made for all of us. I will miss her so much.

My sincere sympathy to all of Debbie's Family,
I met Debbie our freshman year in high school and this wonderful friendship continued for 47 years. We laughed often about our many antics through high school, college, and those first jobs. Debbie developed an amazing career in Chicago and --do you know anyone who can renovate a dozen houses happily? I became a mom and lived vicariously through her wild and crazy single days in Chicago. We helped each other through those trying times and enjoyed fun in the sun. Well, I was in the sun, Debbie was just having fun! I'll will miss this true friend!

To Debbie's Family,
I met Debbie in 1983 when she was a buyer at Sears. Our first meeting in her office led to a wonderful friendship that lasted over 25 years. Whenever she came to New York on a buying trip we always managed to have an evening of dinner, theatre and late night champagne at the Palm Court in the Plaza Hotel. It became standard operation procedure and we would sit for hours sharing stories.Debbie had a great sense of humor, always supportive of whatever you wanted out of life and faced her illness with an incredible spirit and never a complaint. I will miss with laugh, her wonderful outlook on life, our glasses of white wine together, calling each other to wish one another a happy birthday and her kind and gentle spirit. I'll miss you Debbie...you were the best!

To: Debbie's family & friends:
My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Debbie six years ago when we moved to Naples, Florida. Being neighbors and new to the area, Debbie became our "go to" person. She was always there to lend a hand or to offer advice during our many renovations, and we quickly became friends.
Debbie was one of the most positive people we have ever known, and we found ourselves easily drawn to her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. We spent many happy hours in her company, and we deeply miss our friend!
Our most sincere condolences to her family and many friends, as she was a special person. We know Debbie's spirit will live on in all who had the good fortune of knowing her.

To Debbie's Family and Friends
What a wonderful person Debbie was. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. It has been years since I seen her, but thought of her often. I worked with Debbie several years ago here in Naples. What a wonderful sense of humor she had. It was so sad when she left that company. She made work fun. My heart goes out to you all. She will be very much missed. God Blessed us all with having the opportunity to know her. I too will not forget her.

To all of Debbies Friends & Family;
I am shocked to hear of Debbies passing! We would often pass each other in the many labs and testing sites that we had to endure with our illnesses. She looked so good and was still so upbeat that I never thought she would lose her fight!
I worked as her assistant in Property Management along with our frind Ginny. She was the best person to work for. Always appreciative and honest with us. It was not hard to develop a true friendship with Debbie. We always exchanged the funniest emails about our health tribulations. At least hers are over now. I miss her alredy and will never forget her.

Debbie was a very special person - and like a big sister to me. She was the managing broker for several years where I worked in Chicago, giving me guidance then. When she moved to Florida, we would get together when I was in Naples visiting my parents each year. She was always interested in what was going on in my life and would give me advice when I asked. She was the happiest, most upbeat, positive person I have known. I will miss her very much! My condolences to her family - may you have many wonderful memories. There is a new star shining brightly in the heavens now!
