Magdalen Belickas O'Toole

Magdalen Belickas O'Toole, DDS., age 53, found peace after a courageous struggle with cancer on May 10, 2011. She was the loving wife of Michael F. O'Toole, MD. for 28 years; and cherished and devoted mother of Michael Anthony, Matthew John, Jonathan Christopher and Stephen Joseph O'Toole; Magdalen was the adoring godmother to Caroline Kohler, Grace Ann O'Toole and Colin and Clara Chough; she was the beloved daughter of the late Elfriede and Antanas Belickas, MD. Magdalen had a quiet, gentle way of positively impacting everyone's life, whether as a family member, colleague or treasured friend. She was a dentist and practiced at Community Nurse Health Association in LaGrange, IL and with Kenneth Yerkes, DDS. in Chicago. She was a natural linguist and grew up speaking English, Lithuanian and German fluently at home. She studied French in school and recently was learning Spanish at work. She briefly taught German at the grade school level and was active in the German Language School study program in Naperville, IL. Magdalen had many fond memories of spending her summers as a child with her mother and relatives on a farm in Germany. She loved to travel, especially visiting her many cousins in Germany and Lithuania where she was known as Magdute. Magdalen had strong friendships that were lifelong and included friends from Mother McAuley High School and Brother Rice, Community Nurse, neighbors, and The Wellness House. Visitation Friday, May 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook. Funeral service Saturday, prayers 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W.
