EDMONDSON, Johnny Newton Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Newton Edmondson 995 Gresham Ave. S.E. Atlanta. Ga. 30316 will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 12:00 noon from Friendship Community Church 4141 Old Fairburn Rd. College Park, Ga. with pastor D. Earl Bryant, Sr. officiating. Remains will lie in state from 10:00 noon til the hour of service. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. He leaves to cherish: a loving wife Sharunder Burnett Edmondson, daughters Ronika Wyatt, and Akilab Wooten, Christopher Burnett (Chume), adapted parents Warrie), Sr. and Brenda Carrecter Adams, Godmother Jessie Dixon, brothers Warriel Adams, Jr. and Antsr Muhammad, sister Jasmine Adams, grandchildren Breyonna, Amari and Cadence; Godchildren Krislyn Harkeness, Seanovan Fraiser, (6) aunts, (1) uncle, and a host of family and friends that are held dear to his heart. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence at 11:00 a.m. GUS THORNHILL'S FUNERAL HOME, INC. 404 768-2993-4.

Niece and sister It is almost a year
ago that you loss your husband,and you loss your son and we loss our first born nephew but I am happy today to know that Johnny is with God the father and Jesus Christ the son.
He is having a good time with his grandmother Johnnie Mae, mother Elizabeth,cousins Terry & Tony and many more friends that left before he did on this earth. Johnny is in a home were there is no pain no more sorrow or heartache.Johnny is playing his guitar for the Lord and all the heavenly host. Johnny is writing lyrcis to his songs, practicing his music. And probably telling his grandmother and other families member and friends set down Iam going to cook for all of you.

While there will always be spot in my heart for my baby, I know that he is safely embraced in God's arm. Jay blossomed in to a full fledged young man and one that was respected. We gave each other unconditional love. I will forever cherish the love we shared. While it was hard for me to let go of my baby that I loved so much and shared with so many, I know that his work was done on earth. I am so happy that I got to to be a part of those 46+ years. To the Family,
Johnny was a remarkable man,that anyone that came through his path could not help but cling to him. That kindred spirit that he possessed. To: Sharunder & Brenda,
God did not promise"sun without rain"
"light without darkness"or "joy without pain". He only promised us "STRENGTH for the DAY" when the"darkness"comes and we lose our way,
for only through sorrow do we grow more aware that God is our refuge in times of despair. For when we are happy and life's bright and fair, we often forget to kneel down in prayer. But God seems much closer and needed much more when trouble and sorrow stand outside our door and seek shelter in His wondrous love and we ask Him to send us help from above.
And that is the reason we know it is true that bright, shining hours and dark,sad ones, too, are part of the plan God made for each one and all we can pray is "THY WILL BE DONE"!
