To my dearest husband words cannot express the profound loss I feel. You meant the world to me and is what I lived for every day - even the rough and tough ones. I miss your smile, your laugh, your tender embrace. The kiss you made sure we had every morning and the ones I made sure we shared every night. Dan was a special friend in my life. He was also, for a time, my work partner. He and Jonea joined us for BBQs and other functions; he was best man at my wedding.
I know this will sound crazy, but bear with me. You know those blow-up men they put on the side of the road to lure you into a place of business? The ones with the long waving arms? Well, Denise and I always say that it's Dan saying hello. He was always, and I mean always, full of energy, enough to go around.
Over the last several years Dan and I lost contact. I moved to San Diego. Denise and I thought of he and Jonea often. They were a special pair.
He will truly be missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Love, Troy Long
