I DIDN'T KNOW CHARLIE UNTIL THE 2010 NATIONAL CONVENTON WHEN WE SET UP TABLES NEXT TO EACH OTHER. HE WAS ELECTED NATIONAL TREASURER AND I WAS ELECTED REGION I VICE PRESIDENT AND THEN WE ENDED UP SITTING NEXT TO EACH OTHER AT NEB MEETINGS. HE WILL BE SORELY MISSED AT NARFE HQS.

I met Charlie at the District VIII caucus at Grand Rapids while he was campaigning for Natl Treasurer. The writer is a California member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE Chapter 61. I met him at the national convention in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he was elected treasurer. His passing was unexpected, to my knowledge. My profound condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathies to the Saylor Family. I was fortunate to work for Charlie as a clerk and then with him as a supervisor at the Baltimore Post office in the 1960's. Charlie was fair and respected and it was a pleasure to cross paths with him.
