MICHAEL OMAR HARRIS

HARRIS, MICHAEL OMAR Michael passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 after a brief illness in Comox, Canada. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Paul AME Church, Wylam, AL. Rev. Germaine Richardson, Pastor and Rev. Glenzel Davis officiating. Michael attended junior high and high school in the Inglewood, CA school system where he excelled in sports. He attended Fresno State University with academic honors as well as many sports achievements. He later attended San Francisco State University Law School and set up practice in Fresno, CA, Vancouver and Comox, Canada. Michael was a quiet and giving person. He did a great amount of "Pro Bona" Law for people who could not afford legal services. He was preceded in death by his father, Judge Bennie J. Harris, Esq. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Lillian Davis Harris Steele Wade; brother, Alva "Rick" (Nicole) Steele; nieces, Jadyn & Victoria Christine Steele; and a host of relatives and friends.
