It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the
family of Joshua Roderick Sterling Strickland
announce his passing, at the age of 11 years
old. Joshua is lovingly remembered by his
father and mother Rod and Kristine
Strickland, paternal grandparents Sterling
and Una Strickland, maternal grandparents
Joe and Bev Laderoute, uncles Rick (Brenda)
Strickland, Jamie (Shana) Strickland, Joey
(Debbie) Laderoute, aunties Kim (Alex)
Kozody, Pam (Martin) Hiller, and Pastor Janet
Strickland, cousins Dustin, Desiree, Danton,
Stephanie, Tristan, Mya, Kristen, Jordan,
Ryan, Nolan and Faith, as well as other family
members and friends. Joshua was a precious
angel who touched the lives of all who knew
him with his glowing smile, shining eyes, and
his love for life and family. In his short time he
taught us to appreciate the meaningful things
in life. He was a loving and compassionate
boy who cared for everyone. He is an
inspiration to us all. Joshua is now safe in the
arms of Jesus and will forever be in our
hearts. A celebration of Joshua's life will be
held at McMurray Gospel Assembly, 10110
Main Street, Fort McMurray, Alberta on
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with
Visitation prior to Service beginning at
10:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to
LEYDEN'S FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION and

Kristine and Rod ,
I am so so sad to hear of your great loss ! I just heard about it this morning and was shocked . I don't know if you remember me but I worked with Josh at St-Martha's School in Fort McMurray. Unfortunately , I am not back there today to attend his memorial , but please note that I will be there in spirit. Joshua was a true gift from God who brightened up the lives of those near him . He had the most beautiful smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you both at this very difficult time. God has another angel in Heaven.
