Dora Lara Obituary
Born February 8, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas, went home to be with our Lord on November 29, 2011. She is survived by her children, Dalinda (Phillip) Trujillo, Dolores Figueroa, Dora (Jerry) Parra, Harry Ponce, Isreal Ponce, Roy (Becky) Rodriquez, Rudy (Cathrin) Alvidrez, Joanna (Jose) Ruiz; many grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Viewing on Monday, December 5, 2011, 5pm to 9pm. Morning service on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, 10am to 12pm. Both will be held at Del Angel Mortuary, 1640 N. Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, CA 90744. Interment to follow at Green Hills Cemetery, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho

One of the hardest things in this lifetime is to lose a loving MOM. I know your MOM meant the world to you Rudy. My faith has helped me through some of the saddest days of my life, I hope yours will do the same. Grandma, I am grateful for the time I got to spend with you. I am grateful for showing me the way to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It was because of your love for the Lord that all of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren know the the Lord as well. So thank you Grandma. I Love You and will forever miss you. Though we haven't seen each other in many years I can hear the sound of my Tia's voice, her laugh and I always remember her kindness to me. We will miss you for now Tia...thank God for His promise that if we believe we will one day be united again!
I have very mixed emotions as Tia has now gone to be with the Lord. I am sad for my cousins and all the family yet I am happy that my Mom, Amalia, now has her best friend and sister Dora with her. God bless you mi Familia,
