LISA S. HUSTED

Mrs. Lisa S. Husted, 47, of Pioneer St., Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 2, 2011 at her home. Born in Tucson, Arizona on November 6, 1963 a daughter of Robert A. Youngs and Barbara A. Fordham Schotts. She was a lifelong area resident and attended Amsterdam Schools. She was a 1981 graduate of Riverdale High School in Ft. Myers, Florida. Mrs. Husted was employed for over 20 years as a Teacher's Aide for the Greater Amsterdam School District. She was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker and enjoyed reading, watching the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves and going to the Amsterdam Mohawks baseball games. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.On July 17, 1982 she married Ronald "Rick" Husted. In addition to her husband, survivors include her two beloved daughters, Jennifer Lynn Catucci and her husband, James, and Andrea Marie Husted and her companion, Matt Faboskay of Amsterdam; her dear mother, Barbara A. Schotts of Amsterdam; two brothers, Robert Youngs and his wife, Marge of Amsterdam and James "Jim" S. Youngs also of Amsterdam; her sister, Emily A. Brasmeister and Paul Korona of Hagaman, NY; sister-in-law Joann Youngs of Amsterdam; and her step-sister, Barbara Schotts Hume (Ed) of Broadalbin; one cherished granddaughter, Ashleigh Catucci of Amsterdam; her godchildren, Anthony Brasmeister and Justine Youngs; her aunt, Particia Hernigle of Fultonville; her mother-in-law, Beverly Sadowski (John); brothers-in-law, Kevin Husted (Debra), Mark Husted (Stephanie), and Sophie Fariello; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her father, Robert A. Youngs; her brother, Richard "Rick" Youngs Sr.; and father-in-law, Ronald N. Husted on May 8, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Father Brian List presiding. Interment will be in Maple Ave. Cemetery, Fultonville, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, Labor Day, September 5, 2011 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
