Steven Behrens Obituary
He was born Jan. 27, 1956, in Schenectady, N.Y., the son of Henry and June M. (Bourque) Behrens. Steven had resided in Milton since 1986, previously living in Topsfield, Mass. He was a graduate of St. Johns Prep School in Danvers, Mass., and received his associates degree in engineering from ITT in Boston. He was general contractor of his own construction company and proudly built his own home.
Steven enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and loved boating. He especially loved the thought of his soon to be grandchild and enjoyed spending time with his sons and friends.
Members of his family include his sons, Jason and wife, Kim Behrens, of Sanbornville, Jerel and girlfriend, Brook Kreider, of Gray, Maine; his parents of Orleans, Cape Cod; the mother of his children, Cynthia MacLeod of Sanbornville; sisters, Donna Behrens of California, Margie Wells and husband, Nippy, of Topsfield, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may visit Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA. 02115 or "Make a Wish" Foundation of New Hampshire, 814 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03101-2230.

Jason and Jerel, I was so sad to hear about your Dad. Steve was a very big part of mine and Scott's lives and I have so many great memories, especially of the two of them together. They certanly had some fun times. He will be missed but will live on in our hearts. He and Scott are now together again...

Your Dad was a good man and loved you boys with all of his heart. We shared in some REALLY fun times. I will always appreciate, respect,and remember him for his BOATING SKILLS!! Expecially when we were soaring down the river WIDE OPEN. Remember the good times. He will be missed deeply.

Although I didn't know Steve long, maybe just a couple of years, he really was a tremendous friend and great fun work with and hand around with. When my wife and I were having a rough time with the plumbing in our new house, Steve came by, helped me re-plumb part of the house over two weekends and gave me an almost-new water pump, all in exchange for a couple beers and some jokes. He was a good man and he will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
