Ian Hackett

HACKETT, Ian Clifford January 30, 1948 - May 11, 2011 Ian Hackett of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the age of 63 years. In his early years, Ian belonged to Tuxis and Older Boys Parliament of Alberta. He also developed an interest in flying, obtaining a Private Pilot's License from the Edmonton Flying Club. Ian received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and was a Member in the General Alumni Association. He was a Member of The Registered Public Accountants' Association of Alberta; practicing as an independent accountant for most of his professional career. Ian will be missed by his family and friends. Ian is survived by his siblings, Colleen (George), Mary-Jean (Craig), Robert and James (Joanne); niece Lisa and nephews Shawn, James and Keegan. Ian was predeceased by parents Clifford and Grace. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
