My brother's short journey in life was filled with adventure and spirit. He was a man that constantly challenged himself. In earlier years, he ventured to the state of Washington to become a logger. Although each day held certain dangers, he never waivered. Eric was a gentle giant, filled with compassion, generosity and love, always wanting to help someone in need. You could always count on him no matter what.
Eric's sense of humor and warm personality would light up a room like a ray of sunshine especially when he did his impressions of the cowardly lion (he was unbelievable!) Eric and Kathy have been soul-mates for many years. The love they shared was larger than life. My parents would be very proud of the man he was.
Eric never let me forget that I was the older twin by 6 minutes. He used to call me "mother quack quack" because he said I always had to have my ducks in a row. I feel blessed that my "baby brother" touched so many lives.
My son Ryan always looked up to his uncle. He will always hold a special place in his heart along with myself, and sister Joyce.
The profound loss we have will forever live in our hearts. We will forever miss his laughter and spirit. May God bless him and keep him.
All our love, Jeanne and Ryan Verrett, and Joyce Lucid

I am at a lost for words. My sincere sympathy goes out to Kathy, Chase and Jacob. Eric was a close friend to Jim and I and his passing has left a hole in our hearts. Never will I be able to hear the roar of a Harley or the crowing of a rooster without Eric coming to my mind and I will smile knowing he is smiling too. Kath, if you need anything you know where to turn.
With love always,
Debi and Jim Ellsworth
Rest in peace my friend.
