Jennie MacPherson, 82, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 18, 1929 in Hartford, and was a longtime resident of Ashford, CT. She was predeceased by her mother, Sophie Jackowski, and her sister, Alice Serafin. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Holly Bisaccia and her husband Timothy; Mark MacPherson and Darcy Decker; Guy MacPherson and his wife Lynda; John MacPherson and his wife Cheryl and Scott MacPherson. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jared MacPherson; Leanne Cantres and her husband Alexis; Jamie Lowry; Sean Lowry; Colin Bisaccia; Nicholas Bisaccia; Kellie MacPherson; Brandon MacPherson and Kyle MacPherson. Her great grandchildren: Alexis Cantres Jr.; Alyssa Cantres; Destiny Lowry and Jayleen Lowry, as well as her niece, Judith Marks and her husband Brad. She was also sister to Stanley Jackowski. "The sun will rise and is sure to set. Your time has come and we have no regret. An angel gained, a distance apart. Your love lives on, a place in our heart. We feel you close and know you're near. We rejoice today knowing we will see you again. We remember now your life from start to end and we're proud to have known you as our mother, grandmother and friend."
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 6-8 p.m., at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street in Rocky Hill, followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashford Senior Center, Earl W. Smith Building, 25 Tremko Lane Ashford, CT 06278.
