Harvey A. Springer
PENDLETON, SC - Harvey Allan Springer, 68, of Pendleton, SC, died Friday, July 29, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Kathryn Springer and is survived by two sisters, Marilyn S. Corry of Bostic, NC and Patricia S. Frank of Santa Barbara, CA; niece Heather C. Briggs and husband Charles L. Briggs of Charlotte, NC; and a great-niece, Charlotte Nicole of Charlotte, NC.
Harvey was a 1965 graduate of Clemson University and a Lt. in the US Army. After serving his country, he had a career in the Stock Market and Banking before becoming disabled. After much rehabilitation, he worked in retail in Asheville, Black Mtn. and Durham, NC before retiring to Pendleton, SC.
Wherever he lived he helped his neighbors with neighbors with shopping , appointments, or just being there.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, August 6th at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson, SC. Interment will be at Black Mountain Presbyterian Church, Black Mountain, NC.
Memorials may be made to Fort Hill Presbyterian Church or Clemson University. No flowers please.
Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
