MCCONNELL, Jimmy D.
Plainwell

Passed away May 26, 2011. Jimmy was born on April 27, 1951 in Alma, MI, a son of Dale Keith and Norma Jean (Nietzel) McConnell and had lived in the Plainwell area for many years. He served his country in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971. A very large part of his life was working for Checker Motors for 38 years, until they closed the plant. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents;
a daughter, Amy Sue McConnell; a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole McConnell; two sisters, Marie Reid and Barbara Morgan. He is survived by his children, Tammy (Tim) George of Fulton, William (Sondra) McConnell of Aurora, CO and Scott (Kelly) McConnell of Kalamazoo;
six grandchildren, Zachary McConnell, James George, Brooklynne George, Amy, Caitlin and Cameron McConnell; a brother, John McConnell of FL; a sister, Tricia Seabrook of FL; nieces and nephews.. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the

I am so very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Jimmy. He was always happy, telling jokes, & he loved to laugh. He was always changing his clothes at work too... I think he just liked to be clean. (: He will be missed.
