Dear Mary, Peggy, Patricia & Noreen,
It was good to see all of you the other day, although I did not get to talk with Patricia or Noreen at length. It is difficult because everyone wants to talk to you when you do not feel like talking at all. I, too, have very fond memories of your dad. He was such a funny guy; always joking. I can relate to Tina's story about telling her to eat more. He said the same to me, but Steve Vlachos did, too! What is it with these ethnic dads! I loved every moment of growing up with that diverse ethnicity. I feel blessed to have known your father. He was also a good neighbor to my parents. In the later years before their move, he would put their newspaper up on the porch while taking his daily walks in the early morning.
I sat with Kirk Harris during the lunch on Tuesday. I know he does not have Facebook, so I will relate a cute story he told. He was 11-12 years old when your parents moved to Buena Vista. He went up to meet them and came home and told his parents that your dad "didn't speak english". Or "He kind of did, but it sounded funny and I didn't understand him". His parents explained that he had an Irish accent. He had never heard an accent before! I loved that story!
May you all be comforted by the memories of your dad, your mom, and your family.
God Bless you all,

Dear Peggy, Mary, Patricia, and Noreen,
I am so sorry about your Father. We all loved Uncle Pat very much. I remember when my Dad died Auntie Mary brought me down to stay with your family for a week. I will never forget your Dad teaching me to play pool and all the while telling me stories about my Dad. You girls are all in our hearts and prayers.
Love to you all,

Dear Mary, Peggy and Noreen,
I was saddened to hear of your fathers passing. My sister Kathi and I have many fond memories of hanging out at your home and the love your parents had for each of you and for each other. We had a wonderful time growing up on Buena Vista with all the other 100+kids on the block. The memories are long and some fading but we were all blessed to have parents that helped us grow up in a safe and loving environment. Remember, your father may have left this world but he will live forever in your hearts. Our prayers are with all of you!

Dear McEntee Sisters,
I was very sad to hear the news about your father. Growing up Greek on Buena Vista street would have never been the same without your family. I have such fond memories of both of your parents. I will never forget going to mass with Noreen on a saturday night so that we could spend more time together. I don't think I have ever laughed harder in all my life as I did while spending time at your house, playing pool or eating a wonderful meal prepared by your mother. Pat use to tell me that I should eat more or I will blow away in the next big wind...
I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
May fond memories of your father live in your hearts forever and his memory be Eternal.
God Bless you all,
Tina(vlachos) Peratsakis

Dear McEntee Girls, now Women,
We send our love and our condolences to you in memory of your wonderful father, Pat. Before I read his obituary in the LA Times, I was thinking of words to describe him. Hard working and hilarious came to mind. His perspective on life and his outlook were always accurate and very funny. He was proud of his family, his son-in-laws and his grandchildren. He and Noreen were two peas in a pod. Cut from the same cloth, I will never forget their daily walks up Buena Vista St. to St. Francis to start their day. They were both so inspirational to me. So much fun to visit. So hospitable. To this day I have your mother's Irish Soda bread recipe which I will make in their honor. I wish I could be there for his service tomorrow but know that I will be with you all in spirit and in love. Please contact me at your convenience as I would love to talk to each and every one of you. If there is anything I can do in any way. Please contact me. The McEntees on Buena Vista will always be a big part of my childhood and those memories and my relationship with you women, give me strength in my adult life. I am so very great full to all of you.

Mary,Peggy,and Noreen,
I have many happy memories growing up on Buena Vista street. Know that I am thinking of you. I lost my brother, Steve last April and know how hard this must be for you. My Dad left us in Sept. 1994 and he was also born in 1931 like your Dad. Take care and know there are many of us thinking about you now and always.

Growning up, I looked to Pat as typical Irish. Hard working, Big Family, and a Great Laugh. In later years, I would see Pat, out for his Marathon walks, with that damn Irish Walking stick, which one could mistake as a Club. You just knew the Neighboorhood was "Safe". Just a Class Act all around. God Speed Pat. The Boylan Family.
