Great memories of Aunt Opal-

Tee shirts for grand kids at one of the Askey reunions with "Half Askey" on the back.

While visiting Nampa, Idaho and staying with Aunt Bonney on Juniper Street the MacFarlanes' had returned from Japan. The baby had shirt that read "made in Japan".

I have a memory walking up to the front door at Aunt Bonney's to meet all my cousins that had returned from Japan and everyone's shoes were on the front porch.

Fun stuff!!

Love,

Marv Askey and family

Miss Opal was a beautiful, sweet lady who always had a smile on her face when we spoke at the Dale City AMF bowling center. One of the best things about walking into the bowling center on Thursday nights for many, many years was seeing Opal sitting there, with her Redskins shirt on during football season. Sometimes I would sneak up on her, kneel down next to her, and watch her face when she noticed me. Usually, she would punch me in the shoulder, then kiss me on the cheek, always with that lovely smile and a "Hello, Ralphie" for me. She will be dearly missed and all I can say is our loss is Heaven's gain.
