To Matthew,
My sincere condolences to you and also to Margaret, Terree and Debra. I am a proud member of the Sopko family going back to the very beginning when my Dad and his brother, Andrew, came to our great country in the early 1920's. I cherish many wonderful memories from those times.

mark was a good friend, from the early days living in sunnyside, to our graduating from ecw. he was a tough son of a gun. i could remember playing sandlot football against him, he was running with the ball, i jumped on him, grasping him around his throat, all he did was flick me off like a mosquito. in high school, wrestling, he use to pick up his opponent, and slam them against the mat and pinned them. at westside high school, 1971,basketball regionals, all hell broke out after the game outside, mark was throwing people all over the place. we had a blast together, in our classes. he was a region tough guy. i'm so sorry for his passing.

Mark - Jeff Todd here...I just heard of your passing and simply wanted to say that were a friend of mine for a very long time; we had great times together whether it be playing football in Sunnyside Park, or taking over the skating arena for day long hockey games. My condolences go out to those of your family; I will never forget your boisterous laughter and your love for life. V/r Jeff
