After a brief illness, on Friday, November 4, 2011, age 64, of Greenfield. Beloved husband of Charlotte ( S u l a n o w s k i ) McKinnon; loving father of Joseph W. (Rebecca) McKinnon and Amy (Douglas) McFarland; devoted pap to Alexander and Emma; son of the late William and Anna Marie (Driscoll) McKinnon; brother of William McKinnon, Eileen Solomich, Maureen Coyne, and Kathleen Lachman; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sun. 6-8 p.m. and Mon. 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the EDWARD P. KANAI FUNERAL HOME, 500 Greenfield Ave. Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Rosalia Church at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Simmons Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis at the University of Pittsburgh, www.simmonsfund.pitt.edu/donate Joseph was a retired member of Boilermakers local # 154.

To the Mckinnon Family;
Joe was my best friend at Holy Innocents High School. We never kept in touch after graduation, but over the years I found myself thinking about him many times. I just found out about his passing and it crushes me to think that I was not able to pay my respects. He was a great guy, he meant alot to me and I will never forget him! Please know that at Mass this coming Sunday, our prayers will be with you and for him.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Joey and I have been friends for over fifty years and I will have nothing but the fondest ememories of our times together. He is now, and shall always be, my friend.
