Jan Adam "Jas" Soltysik, 57, of Reading, PA, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at home.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Adam L. and Helen S. (Bar) Soltysik.
Jas is survived by his brother, Larry M. Soltysik and his companion, Charlene Hubbard of Reading, and his sister, Lottie B. (Soltysik), wife of William Camilli, of Muhlenberg Twp.
Other survivors include Jas' companion, Alice Potteiger of Harrisburg, his two nieces, Dr. Jennifer Camilli, fiancee of Marc Scholtyssek, of Dowingtown, and Jessica Camilli and her son, Gavin, of Muhlenberg Twp.
Jas was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was employed as a stagehand for 36 years. He was an A-1 Audio Technician and a Rigger. He was a Union member of IATSE Local #97 in Reading and Local # 200 in Allentown, and also worked regularly for Local # 98 in Hershey, and many staging production companies.
Services will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private.
Contributions in Jas' memory can be made to Aardvark Animal Hospital & Rescue, 161 Gowlin Forge Rd., Lionville, PA 19341. The Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Even though some time had passed between each meeting, it never felt like it with Jas.
I'm honored to have had the opportunity to know and work with him. My sincerest condolences go out to his family, Alice, and his many friends.
We're all better people for having known Jas, I'll keep the memory of him in my heart. RIP my friend.

Yosh will be deeply missed by myself and those who knew him. He was a true professional and I always enjoyed listening to the interesting tales he would tell. Look forward to the bottle of beer he gave me. Rest in peace.
