Charles Steele Obituary



Charles William "Chuck" Steele, Jr. died at the age of 65 in Burns, OR on November 17, 2011. He died at his home of natural causes.

Chuck was born on June 27th in Eugene, OR. His parents were Charles William Steele and Pearl Rebecca Steele.

He was in the Army for several years and then worked as a weigh master for the State of Oregon until his retirement. He had lived in Eugene and Burns, OR.

Chuck loved camping and hunting and fishing and went on many camping trips with his nephews.

He is survived by his sister Charlene and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He also left behind his beloved cats. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pearl Steele. His final resting place will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.

A memorial service will be held next spring in Burns, OR, so all his many friends can pay their respects. He will be missed.

Chuck was a great friend, always honest, he went out of his way to help me several times. He will be missed.
